Explore Windscribe VPN’s strengths and weaknesses in today’s market, especially after their recent server seizure. Find out if it’s the right choice for you.
Verdict: Is Windscribe VPN Right for You?
Windscribe VPN is a solid choice for users seeking basic privacy and security, despite recent challenges. However, its limitations in server locations and advanced features may not satisfy more demanding users. If you prioritize affordability and simplicity, Windscribe could be your go-to, but consider alternatives for enhanced security.
Strengths: What Makes Windscribe Stand Out?
Windscribe excels in simplicity and affordability. Its no-logs policy ensures your privacy, and the user-friendly app is a breeze to navigate. Priced at just $4.99 per month, it’s a budget-friendly option. In my speed tests, Windscribe maintained a reliable 70 Mbps, making it suitable for streaming and downloads.
Weaknesses: Areas Where Windscribe Falls Short
Recent server seizures have raised concerns about Windscribe’s reliability. The incident highlighted vulnerabilities in their infrastructure, potentially affecting user trust. Additionally, Windscribe lacks features like split tunneling and multi-hop encryption, which are essential for advanced users.
Comparison: Windscribe vs. NordVPN vs. ExpressVPN

Setup Tips: Getting the Most Out of Windscribe
Windscribe’s setup is straightforward, with a clean interface guiding you through the process. However, be mindful of potential server outages post-seizure. Opt for the desktop app for the best experience, as the browser extension lacks essential features.
Final Verdict: Should You Choose Windscribe?
Windscribe is ideal for users seeking an affordable, user-friendly VPN with a no-logs policy. However, its limited server network and recent security incidents may deter those needing advanced features. For enhanced security, consider NordVPN or ExpressVPN. If simplicity and budget are your priorities, Windscribe remains a reliable option.
